Hardwood Logs for woodturning
« on: July 05, 2020, 02:26:05 PM »
I have a client that has asked for a table made from a log 34-36" diameter and 26" tall.  If anybody has a leed on a downed tree (no more than a year) or one being removed soon please let me know.  Preferably it is a sycamore, red maple, hickory, or pecan.  Also please let me know of any arborist or tree services that I should call.

In general, I am always looking for hardwood logs, especially white oak, maple, black gum, sweetgum, and holy.

Thanks, Speight

Speight, you might want to call Styron Tree Service in Morehead City. Also, Settle Tree Service in Newport might also be worth a try. I have used both in the past, and was happy with their work.
